What Parakletos
shows you, before it costs you.
One fatal commercial truck crash costs an estimated average of $7.2 million (FMCSA), and that figure counts none of what comes after: the vehicle off the road, the premium hike at renewal, the litigation, the driver who has to carry it. Parakletos can't stop that crash. Safety Intelligence is read only, so it neither warns the driver nor intervenes, and Active Vehicle Protection is a future product that is planned only, with certification not yet started. What Parakletos does today is record and score the risk building toward a crash, so you can act on it yourself.
Commercial vehicles rack up millions of kilometres across every kind of road, highways, rural routes, last-mile city driving. Fatigue, unmarked roads, and bad weather don't go away just because a truck has a warning light bolted on.
City driving all day means constant exposure to pedestrians, cyclists, and blind intersections, and the driver behind the wheel changes constantly, with wildly different experience levels. A dashboard warning light doesn't close that gap, and neither does a score you only see once a month.
Many older vehicles on the road have no active safety system, which leaves many drivers with nothing more than a lane-departure beep.
Pricing motor risk today relies on proxies: telematics, black boxes, claim history. None of it shows how close a driver came to a hazard. Parakletos records radar-detected hazard events as an additional signal. Parakaleo does not provide data to insurers today, and any future sharing would be opt-in, with the driver's consent. Parakletos Safety Intelligence does not intervene, so it should not be presented as qualifying for collision-avoidance or ADAS discounts. Safety Scores are for coaching and fleet management, not for insurance-eligibility decisions.
What one crash costs
and what IIHS found about collision warning and automatic emergency braking.
From FMCSA cost research and IIHS crash data. The cost figure is an industry average. The IIHS figures come from a study of 62 carriers and more than 2 billion vehicle miles (2017 to 2019) and describe these technologies in general, as associations rather than guarantees. IIHS also found automatic emergency braking was associated with about 12% fewer crashes overall and about 41% fewer rear-end crashes. Parakletos Safety Intelligence does not warn drivers or intervene, and Active Vehicle Protection is planned only, so none of these figures is a claim about Parakletos.
